Dash Selfstore Conditions of Business

Reservations

To make a confirmed reservation a payment of £25 will be taken per unit. This is non-refundable. This payment will then be added to their account and deducted from the money owed from their 1st invoice. Reservations are only valid for 4 weeks after which point any deposit paid will be lost. If the reservation is still required then another reservation deposit of £25 must be paid.

Invoicing

The standard invoicing period is 4 weeks

The minimum charge period is 1 week

Payment Methods

There are a few options when it comes to payment but the easiest way to pay is by Direct Debit. When you move in to Dash Selfstore your first 4 weeks rental and security deposit must be paid by Credit or Debit card or BACS transfer. For all future invoices customers can pay via;

Notice Periods

A notice period of 1 week must be given to vacate. At the end of the notice period a refund will be given for the remaining days that have been paid. This will be calculated pro-rata. 

If a customer has received a discount (pre-pay or 4 weeks free offer) then they will forfeit any discount.

Notice must be given in writing.

Security Deposits

For all customers there is a mandatory security deposit. This is due with the first month’s rent and will be returned following vacation as long as there is no outstanding rent or damage to the
unit.

Deposit for Direct Debit Customers – We will require a deposit equal to 1 weeks rent.

Deposit for Non- Direct Debit Customers – We will require a deposit equal to 4 weeks rent

Insurance

Every customer must have insurance whilst storing with us. There are two options;

Insurance can be provided by Dash Self Store.
This is charged at a of rate £1.50 per week, per £1,000 insured. Items are insured on an new for old basis.

Customers can provide evidence that they have insurance covering their goods whilst in storage. Proof of insurance must be provided to DSS within 14 days. Failure to provide the required documentation will result in a charge for insurance being added to the customer’s account and back dated to their move in date.

Unit Location

The location of the storage unit will be on either the ground or first floor. The is a goods and passenger lift for access to the first floor.
