Stock Manager Data Processing & Privacy Policy

Stock Manager is owned and managed by Dash Logistic Services Limited, trading as Dash Self Store (‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘our’). When using this tool, we gather and process your information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the relevant data protection Regulation and laws. The information we collect when you use the Stock Manager service falls into two categories.

As this product is designed to help you keep an inventory of the stock currently stored with us, you need to provide us with certain information.
Stock Types. In order to create stock reports, we require information about the stock you hold with us. This includes but it not limited to the name, type, quantity, description and image of the stock.
Stock Movement Events. In order to maintain accurate stock levels, we require you to enter the details of each check in and check out event that takes place. This includes the date, time and quantity of stock that was moved, as well as the name of the user who moved the stock.

1.2 Information we collect when you use the service.

When you use Stock Manager, we collect information about how you use it to help keep the platform secure.

  • Usage Information. We collect information about your activity on Stock Manager, including: Data Creation/Modification timestamps.
  • Device Information. We collect information from and about the devices you use to access Stock Manager, including: Information about your connection, such as your IP address and browser type.
  • Location Information. When you use Stock Manager we collect some information about your approximate location in order to identify where stock was checked in and out.

2.1 To prevent unauthorised access.

We use information we collect to monitor suspicious activity in order to prevent authorised access to stock information and to suspend accounts we believe are being used for malicious purposes.

2.2 Addition of new services & bug fixing

We use the information we collected to measure how many users are using our platform. This allows us to make continual improvements to the platform and to understand which features to develop further.

3.1 With other users.

When you create a check in, check out event or stock item, then all other users with permission to view stock levels can also see this information.

3.2 With service providers.

We may share your information with our hosting provider in order to assist with any potential performance issues and to ensure that adequate hardware resources are assigned to our server.

3.3 When required by law.

We may share your information with the relevant law enforcement agencies when required by law.

4. Data Retention

We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until your account is deleted.

We keep different types of information for different periods of time, depending on how long we need to retain it in order to provide you with our products and services, to comply with our legal requirements and for safety and security reasons. For example:

  • We keep your account details and depot information for the duration of your account. We cannot provide you with our products and services without retaining this information.
  • We keep your usage information, such as your interactions with our system for the duration of your account.
